Parenting & Family

Parenting courses have been a mainstay of Summit Adventure's program for over 30 years. Our desire is that these adventures will forge stronger relationships between parents and their children. Patrols of parent-child pairs experience unique challenges together including rock climbing, backpacking, rappelling, and extended periods of purposeful one-on-one time. Families tailor activities and adventures specifically to their needs and abilities for a fully customized experience.

Open Enrollment Courses:

Sierra Adventures in Fatherhood- Fathers and their son or daughter join other pairs from all over the country and the world for an adventure like no other. While backpacking, wilderness camping, spending time alone with your dad or child, rappelling, rock climbing, and mountaineering, these participant pairs will find excellent opportunity to grow together in their communication, their understanding of God, their trust of each other, and the creation of the memory of a life-time.

West Virginia Adventures in Fatherhood- Fathers and their son or daughter join other pairs from all over the country and the world for an adventure like no other in the wilderness of West Virginia. While backpacking, wilderness camping, spending time alone with your dad or child, rappelling and rock climbing, these participant pairs will find excellent opportunity to grow together in their communication, their understanding of God, their trust of each other, and the creation of the memory of a life-time.
